Prior to founding Built Valuations and Financial Services, Curt served as a managing director for FMI Capital Advisors, FMI Corporation’s registered investment banking subsidiary. During his 15 years at FMI, Curt assisted firms with business valuations, ownership transfer planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Curt managed FMI’s business valuation and financial services practice, where he performed appraisals and executed succession planning engagements for clients throughout the engineering and construction industry.
Prior to joining FMI, Curt was a private equity associate with Kachi Partners, a boutique private equity firm based in Boulder, Colorado, focusing on the acquisition of privately held companies. In this role, he was involved in various aspects of the acquisition process, including the identification and valuation of promising acquisition targets.
Curt earned a Bachelor of Arts in kinesiology and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a Certified Financial Planner® and an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) with the American Society of Appraisers.
